Are you an experienced Java Software Engineer ready to take the lead in high-tech defense system development? We’re looking for multiple engineers to strengthen a growing team working on cutting-edge fire control (naval gun) systems. This is your chance to take ownership of complex subsystems and shape reliable, safe, and future-ready products.
What you’ll be doing as a Java Software Engineer:
- Software development, but also requirements analysis, architecture, testing, validation and product demonstrations
- Employ high-tech techniques and software development methods in modern development environment
- Work with the other engineers and architects on your agile team and the other agile teams in the same sub-domain
Profile of an ideal candidate:
- Bachelor/Master level in the area of software engineering or similar
- At least 5 years of recent, relevant professional experience in Java development (Java, Linux, IntelliJ)
- Agile/Scrum way of working
- CI/CD – Jenkins, Nexus, Maven, GIT, BitBucket
- Testing tools: Unit Testing (Junit), Test Automation, Cucumber
- Dutch nationality due to project’s security requirements
- Based in/around Hengelo, or willing to relocate there!
